Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: January 1st, 2026

This policy applies to ExpressDSP photography, videography and editing services booked on or after the effective date. Please review it together with your written service agreement before booking. Existing bookings remain governed by the terms accepted when they were made, unless we both agree to a change.

1. Booking and payments

Your booking is confirmed when we accept your signed service agreement and receive any required booking payment. Your agreement or invoice will state the booking payment, total price, payment schedule, services and deliverables. All payments are credited toward the agreed price. A booking payment is not automatically forfeited solely because it is called a deposit or retainer.

2. How to cancel

Email info@expressdsp.com with your name, event or project date, and invoice or booking reference. Cancellation takes effect when we receive your notice; it does not depend on when we acknowledge it. If you do not receive an acknowledgment within two business days, please call 619-348-8907.

3. Refunds when you cancel

We will refund payments exceeding the amount properly owed for:

We will make reasonable efforts to reduce cancellation losses. We will account for expenses saved and replacement bookings that offset the same loss, and will not charge twice for the same loss. A cancellation charge will not exceed the unpaid or paid portion of the agreed price attributable to that loss. Total charges under this cancellation policy will not exceed the total agreed booking price.

We will provide an itemized explanation of deductions. There is no automatic forfeiture of all payments or automatic charge of the full remaining balance simply because a cancellation occurs close to the event. If a later replacement booking reduces a loss already charged, we will refund the corresponding difference.

4. Rescheduling

Please request date changes as early as possible. Rescheduling depends on availability and written confirmation. If we agree to a new date, existing payments will transfer to the rescheduled booking. Any changes in coverage, travel costs or price must be agreed in writing before confirmation. If we cannot agree on a new date, the cancellation provisions above apply.

5. Missed appointments and reduced coverage

If you do not attend a scheduled session, or the event cannot proceed because of circumstances within your control, we will apply the cancellation provisions above. Arriving late or ending coverage early does not automatically reduce the price for staff and time already provided or reasonably committed to your booking. Any adjustment will reflect the agreement, services performed and applicable law.

6. If ExpressDSP cancels

If we cannot provide the booked services, we will notify you promptly. We may offer a suitable replacement professional, but you are not required to accept one. If no replacement or revised arrangement is accepted, we will refund payments for services and deliverables we cannot provide, including the corresponding booking payment. If we cancel the entire booking before any services are provided, we will issue a full refund. This does not limit any other rights or remedies available under law.

7. Emergencies and events beyond either party’s control

For emergencies, government restrictions, natural disasters or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, we will first discuss a practical alternative, such as rescheduling. If performance cannot lawfully or reasonably proceed and no alternative is agreed, refunds and any deductions will be determined under the agreement and applicable law. Payments are not automatically forfeited.

8. Completed work and service concerns

Completed services and correctly delivered digital files are generally not refundable solely because you change your mind or prefer a different artistic style from the style agreed upon. This does not exclude remedies for missing, defective or materially nonconforming work.

Please contact us promptly with a description of the issue. We will review it and, as appropriate, offer correction, re-editing, redelivery or a partial or full refund. Any additional work outside the original scope requires your approval of the price. Reporting a concern does not waive your legal or payment-dispute rights.

9. Refund processing

We will acknowledge refund requests within two business days and aim to provide an itemized decision within 14 calendar days. If more information is needed, we will explain why and provide an updated timeline. We will issue any undisputed refund amount without waiting for resolution of a disputed remainder.

Refunds will be initiated within 10 business days after the amount is determined, or sooner if required by law, ordinarily to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit. We do not deduct a separate card-processing fee from an approved refund.

10. Agreements and consumer rights

Any different booking-specific terms must be disclosed and agreed in writing before booking. Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. Website updates do not retroactively change accepted booking terms.
